I've ridden the trails here in BC, including the surrounding trails like Squamish and Whistler (both in Canada), and so far nothing, yet (of course this can change!), have come close to riding the Kiara Trails in KL (Malaysia).

There are several huge differences betw. the 2 countries but the one that sticks out--a)the weather, and b) having to fight-off the mozzies. But hey! dangle a mosquito coil under your butt seat, and you'll only have to worry bout' the weather.

I don't think I'll describe the details bout' the single-tracks, the rock-gardens, the overhanging branches, etc. but suffice to say that alot of effort and care have gone into maintaining the trails. Kudos to those that kept the trails opened, and IMBA should check out the Kiara trails.

After the ride, definitely one should check out the local food. My preference, after a ride and to refuel, would be to hang back at the "restoran Tun Ismail". Try having teh-tarik, and nasi briyani. It's easy-go towards the back of the restoran where there's a buffet style counter---dishes galore here from deep fried chicken, curry fried crabs, mutton, beef and veggie curry. I have to quit going further, as I am salivating just writing bout' the dishes. And the good thing, and after a good belch-it's cheap.
